Technical Overview

MedIntel is a specialized conversational medical AI system designed to conduct interactive patient symptom intake and suggest differential diagnoses. Built by fine-tuning open-source biomedical large language models (MedLLaVA by Microsoft and Med-LLaMA) on the DDx-Plus clinical dataset, MedIntel asks targeted follow-up questions regarding symptom duration, severity, and risk factors before outputting ranked diagnostic probabilities for clinical review.
